Attorney-Client Privilege & Data Security

We understand that privileged communications require the highest level of protection. Relay was architected from the ground up to safeguard confidentiality.

Attorney-Client Privilege Preserved Relay functions as a secure communication tool between attorney and client—the same way a telephone or sealed letter does. It is a conduit, not a participant. No third party ever reads, reviews, or moderates chat content. Using Relay does not waive privilege any more than using encrypted email or a phone call.
Encrypted at Rest & In Transit All chat sessions are encrypted with AES-256 at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit. Tokenized session links expire after use. Sensitive data never travels over unencrypted SMS—the conversation moves to a secure HTTPS browser session before any substantive exchange begins.
No Operational Access to Chat Content There is no admin dashboard, support tool, or content moderation queue that exposes chat messages to ACS or Relay staff. Chat data is never browsed, searched, or read in the normal course of business. Access to underlying infrastructure is restricted via role-based access controls (Azure RBAC) and every access event is logged and auditable.
No AI Model Training on Your Data Conversation data is never used to train AI or translation models. The translation APIs (DeepL and Google Translate) process text solely to return translations for that specific request. No conversation is stored, indexed, or learned from by any AI system.
